What We Collect

LeadBuilder.io collects visitor interaction data on websites that use our tracking script. The level of data collected depends on the consent level granted:

Analytics level (default): Page views, click events, scroll depth, time on page, device type, browser, anonymized location (city/state), and a browser fingerprint for visitor identification. No personally identifiable information (PII).
Marketing level (opt-in): Everything in analytics, plus contact information submitted through forms on the tracked website.

What We Never Store

Raw IP addresses (we use a one-way SHA-256 hash for deduplication, then discard the raw IP)
Third-party cookies
Cross-site tracking data without explicit consent

How We Use Data

Data is used to provide visitor intelligence to website owners, including lead scoring, visitor identification, and behavioral analytics. Anonymized, aggregated patterns may be used to improve our scoring models across the network.

Your Rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar regulations, you have the right to:

Access your data: Visit /privacy/me to see what data we hold about your browser.
Delete your data: Use the self-service deletion tool at /privacy/me or contact us.
Opt out of tracking: Click "Decline" on any consent banner, or set your browser's Do Not Track header.

Data Retention

Event data: retained for 24 months, then automatically purged.
Visitor profiles: anonymized after 12 months of inactivity (PII stripped, fingerprint deleted, aggregate stats preserved).
